N1 Fund takes careful steps in ensuring that rigorous and extensive due diligence takes place prior to making any investments in underlying funds both on company level and fund level.

Aside from the initial due diligence process of gathering preliminary information on the fund and company, an extensive due diligence procedure is conducted by collecting and reviewing all sets of documents including items on the investment management company, corporate organization charts, portfolio managers, regulatory documents, resumes of principals, references and other disclosure documents.

On the fund level, due diligence is done by reviewing marketing material, the DD questionnaire, newsletters of the previous three years, offering memorandums, sample internal risk reports, sample investment reports, performance history since inception, certificate of incorporation, articles of association, custody agreements and all relevant documentation associated with the fund.

N1 Fund will follow up with the investment manager in a conference call to discuss the fund and to clarify any discrepancies or queries. If N1 believes this is not sufficient enough, an onsite visit will be made to meet key members of the investment management company and to conduct a full inspection of the investment strategy and its process. A detailed analysis of the investment manager's portfolio will be reviewed to analyze portfolio positions, concentrations, leverage and risk management process.
